- This actually works fine for a CMD 649 Dual-channel IDE controller purchased from CompUSA several years ago. The driver is for Win2K but works with XP. The only error I see is that one of the two channels has a yellow error sign next to it in device manager, however, I only have one drive on it at the moment, so the second channel may not allow the driver to load. I had to reboot twice, once after installing the driver, the second reboot was after the controller detected the new hard drive. But it works just fine now! Thanks! Gregcomment by Greg+P.
